Alliance of Researchers on Moderation

The path of moderation is not an option, rather, it is a prerequisite at attaining peace and prosperity. Stemming from this reality, GMMF seeks to further its initiatives, and in creating critical mass, by way of its latest endeavour, namely the creation of an ‘Alliance of Researchers on Moderation’.

However, this requires the participation and engagement of scholars who yearn for peace and progress to take place. In short, this initiative of GMMF needs you, your engagement, i.e. the participation of scholars and the ever-willing array of volunteers who wish to play a part towards peaceful coexistence.

Research Grant Scheme

The GMMF Research Grant Scheme is an initiative to globalise the moderation concept and make it as a campaign through research method which can produce useful outputs and outcomes. GMMF endeavours for the creation of expansive research programs and literatures on moderation in the hope of not only promoting research excellence but the inculcation of the values of moderation. The Grant Scheme welcomes grant applications for cutting-edge research studies based on GMM’s seven initiatives that are deemed imperative and of niche areas in the pursuit, and development, of peace and harmony.

The seven initiatives are (i) peaceful coexistence, (ii) countering and preventing violent extremism, (iii) conflict resolution, (iv) education, (v) governance and rule of law, (vi) sustainable development as well as (vii) managing Islamophobia.

We are pleased to announce that the Global Movement of Moderates Foundation (GMMF) Research Grant 2018 is now open for application from 5th January – 2nd February 2018.
